Privacy Policy
Effective 7 August 2026
This policy explains how MyJuhuu handles personal information when you browse, create an account, list an item, request a rental, send a message, make a payment, or submit a report.
1. Information we collect
- Account and profile: name, email, password authentication data, home area, city, region, postal code, country, private geocoded coordinates, and account settings.
- Listings and rentals: item descriptions and photos, prices, availability, booking dates, status, fees, deposits, and transaction references.
- Communications and safety: messages, reports, report evidence, moderation notes, support requests, and enforcement history.
- Technical and usage data: device, browser, IP address, timestamps, pages and features used, error logs, security events, CAPTCHA challenge results, and approximate location inferred from network information where available. Cloudflare Turnstile processes security signals to distinguish people from automated traffic.
- Payment data: payment status and processor references. Full card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored by MyJuhuu.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, search, listings, bookings, messaging, payments, deposits, notifications, support, fraud prevention, trust and safety, moderation, service analytics, legal compliance, dispute handling, and service improvement. We process information as needed to provide the service, pursue legitimate safety and operational interests, comply with law, and honor consent where consent is required.
3. When information is shared
- With other users: public profile name, general location, listing content, ratings, and booking-related information needed to complete a rental.
- With service providers: hosting, database, email, geocoding, analytics, support, security, and payment providers acting under appropriate obligations.
- For safety or legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate fraud, enforce rules, respond to lawful process, or protect rights and property.
- Business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer, with safeguards required by law.
We do not sell personal information for money. If future advertising or data-sharing practices trigger a legal right to opt out, MyJuhuu will provide the required controls before using the information that way.
4. Location and visibility
When you ask us to match an address or postal code, that input is sent to our geocoding provider to return a neighborhood and coordinates. Exact coordinates and listing postal codes are treated as private location data and are not returned by the public listing API. Public browsing uses only neighborhood, city, region, and country. Users choose whether and when to share precise pickup details in private communication. Do not place exact addresses, access codes, or sensitive location details in public listings.
5. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Account content is generally kept while the account is active. Transaction, payment, fraud, report, and moderation records may be retained after deletion when needed for legal, tax, safety, dispute, or abuse-prevention obligations. Data is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and listing information, manage communications, and request account deletion from account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. Use the privacy or support contact provided in the service to submit a request. We may verify identity before responding.
7. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards will be used.
8. Children
MyJuhuu is for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. If we learn that a child provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be announced through the service or another appropriate channel. The responsible MyJuhuu operator and privacy contact will be identified in the service for the market in which MyJuhuu launches. You may use that privacy contact for questions, requests, or complaints and may also contact your local data-protection authority where applicable.
