Terms of Service

Effective 7 August 2026

These Terms govern access to MyJuhuu, a marketplace where neighbors can offer and request temporary use of items. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Community & Safety Rules.

Marketplace role. MyJuhuu helps users discover one another, communicate, and arrange rentals. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, MyJuhuu does not own, inspect, endorse, deliver, or guarantee listed items and is not a party to the rental agreement between owner and renter.

1. The service

Owners may publish item listings and renters may request bookings. A booking is formed between the owner and renter when the owner accepts the request. Availability, condition, pickup, permitted use, return, cancellation, deposits, and any additional lawful terms must be communicated accurately before handover.

2. Accounts and eligibility

3. Listings and rentals

Owners must have the right to rent each item, describe it truthfully, disclose known defects and safety requirements, use genuine photos, set a lawful price, and provide an item that matches the listing. Renters must use items carefully, follow instructions, comply with law, and return them on time in the agreed condition, allowing for ordinary wear.

Both parties should inspect the item at handover and document its condition. Exact addresses and sensitive pickup details should only be shared privately when needed for an accepted rental.

4. Fees, deposits, cancellations, and taxes

Prices, platform fees, and any refundable deposit hold are shown before payment. Owners authorize deduction of the displayed success fee from rental proceeds. Payment processing may be provided by a third party under its own terms. A deposit hold may be used for documented loss, damage beyond ordinary wear, or failure to return, subject to review and applicable law.

Cancellation and refund terms shown during booking form part of the rental. Users are responsible for taxes, permits, insurance, or reporting obligations that apply to their activity.

5. Acceptable use

You must follow the Community & Safety Rules. Do not list prohibited or unsafe items, mislead others, evade fees, scrape the service, interfere with security, send spam, discriminate, harass, threaten, or use MyJuhuu for unlawful activity.

6. Reports and moderation

Users can privately report listings, owners, and bookings. We may review reports and relevant account, listing, booking, payment, and message records; request more information; limit visibility; cancel activity; remove content; or warn, suspend, or close accounts. We consider context, severity, history, evidence, immediate risk, and legal duties. Good-faith mistakes will not be penalized merely because a report is not substantiated. Knowingly false or abusive reports may lead to action.

7. Assumption of risk and responsibility

Peer-to-peer rentals involve risks, including injury, property damage, loss, theft, fraud, and disputes. Users must assess whether an item and transaction are appropriate, follow manufacturer instructions, use suitable protective equipment, and obtain insurance where appropriate. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, MyJuhuu is provided “as is” and does not guarantee continuous availability, user identity, item quality, or completion of a rental. Each user remains responsible for their own acts, omissions, listings, communications, and agreements.

8. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using MyJuhuu and request account deletion, subject to completing or cancelling active rentals and lawful retention needs. We may restrict or terminate access for rule violations, risk, fraud, legal requirements, or protection of users and the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.

9. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced through the service or another appropriate channel before they take effect where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Applicable law and venue depend on the MyJuhuu operator identified to you and mandatory rules in your place of residence.

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the support or legal contact made available in the service.
